PUmpkin Walk

In Logan they do a pumkin walk during the time before Halloween. So we went with our Family Home Evening Group. Here Natalie, Valene, Tambri and I waited about an hour to even get into where the pumpkins were. But it was worth it. While there we ran into....

R2D2, C3PO , and Yoda,

Sheep friend for Shawn The sheep,

a plethora of M&M's,

The Pioneers,

Even the Keebler factory workers

and we all agreed that Chocolate Theropy deffinetly works.

They even had facilities that we could use.

and a garden of vegtibles with the jolly green giant in case we got hungry.

Prince Phillip even came to wake me from my sleep.

Bob the builder could deffinetly fix it.

and Harry Potter came and performed a patronus to get rid of the scarry dementors from us.

Another thing that happened this August is that my cousin Erin got married to Jared. It was a wonderful day that started at 6:00 with rain clouds threatening to put a damper in the day and me getting up to go do the brides hair. The weather was questionable but when we walked out of the temple the sky was blue and there were no signs of rain. The day was wonderful and alot of fun. At the end of the night before Erin and Jared left they did the traditional boque toss. It was a contest between myself, Alisha, Allison, and I think one other girl. Well the boque went a flying behind Erin's sholder and all i had to do was raise my arms and I caught the boque.
For a few days I put it in water to enjoy after taking a picture of my self with them.
and then I hung them up side down to see how they would dry out.

This is now two months later and i think that hey have dried out pritty nicely.

So now i have them to enjoy as the weather gets colder and winter sets in. All in all I think that the white flower dried to be a little off white but it looks antique esh and I love it.

we will see if the "tradition" of who catches the flowers is the next one to get married.

Family Reunion

We had a family reunion this past July which was really fun. For the first three days I went hiking with my dad and Geoff and some cousins it was so much fun. During the first night i left my boots outside and a porcupine ate my shoes so they are totally destroyed. So I got some new ones for my birthday, which we celebrated on the trail. Here are some pictures from the trip! Here is one of the many Buffalo that we saw.
This Buffalo decided he was going to guide my parents down the road.

Oh and he also tried to ram into the side of their car. Thankfully my dad swerved to the side in time and avoid him.
My cousin Matt was having a hard time opeing his bear can. It took more then one to open it. My Dad and Geoff at our last camp site relaxing. Our Back packs hanging on the tree after we learned about porcupines liking for food.
This is the canyon that we hiked into. We just hiked up there and relaxed two days then we hiked out again. It was a hard canyon to hike up but we all made it in and out safely. These are the Grand Tetons where we hiked around.

Well I just got back from an amazing trip with my parents back to Puerto Rico. It was simply amazing and it was wonderful to show my parents where I seved my mission. It was kind of wierd going back. The wierd think is that the rental car we got was a Toyota Carolla so I felt like I was in a new mission car because that is what we drove. I acually had the thought more then once on the first day that I shouldn't be in the car but should be posaliting. Well here is a few pictures from the trip.
Here we are in the Yunque National Rain Forrest. It is the only one in the States. We hiked for forty minutes to get to this beautiful waterfall. It was hot and hummid. We did it on our first day and lets just say we were tired and ready to go to bed when we got to our hotel.

Here is a beautiful flower that we saw in Mayaguez at a place where they study veggitation near the university there.
Here my parents and I are at a waterfall in Adjuntas with Iris who was like my Puertaricanian mama. I surpirsed her at her house and she was so happy. We had fun with her.

This is an Iguana that we saw on the carribean beach.

Oh the mission

Wow it is hard to believe that it has been 6 months since i returned from the mission. You know I have thougth that the transition has gone pritty well. I have enjoyed being home. I am so greatful for the oportunity that I had to serve a mission in Puerto Rico.

When I look at pictures that other sisters have of the mission from since i have been gone i have a pain in my heart of longing to be back there. I miss the mission so much and the oportunity to serve. It is amazing that while on the mission I missed my family and home alot but was so happy doing the work of the Lord. Now that I am home I miss the mission like crazy. How nice it was not to have all the worries of life and money. I was talking with my sister about how easier is on the mission then it is being off. As a missionary we only have one purpose to bring soul's unto Christ. We have no worry for where we are living because it is provided. We don't worry about money because every month we recieve the money needed to live. We have all our temperal needs met. But now that I am home I have to worry about all those things and especially BOYS. Oh what a worry that can be.

Although that life is difficult I know that with the Lords loving help that he is always willing to give us, we can acomplish the hard things of life. My grandma Hock always loved the song "You'll Never Walk Alone" from the movie Carossel. I have been listening to it and have found great comfort in it. I know I can walk on with out fear and every thing will be alright. Please look at link to enjoy this beautiful song sung by Sissel. It truely gives hope to a brighter future.

my adorable nieces

So my brother and his family moved out to Chicago over memorial day weekend to where he has been working for the past few months.I thought that i would share what we did with them their last couple of days here in Utah.So one of the favorite activities was to read to Ellen and Olivia in the big chair. They really love spending quality time with their Manga (grandma).
They helpped me weed the garden also and got very dirty. Especially Olivia who by the end needed a bath. She gave herself a durt eye.

Olivia loves to smile when there is a camera around. She caught me taking pictures of them with Manga.

Ellen was very intent on watering all of the flowers in Manga's garden. That inteled between rose bushes to morning glory. Ellen wanted all of them to grow.

No, Olivia is not tan that is a dirt tan line!! She sure loves the dirt!!!
This was while we were on a fun shopping trip to find cloths for Talmage and also fabric to make their new cousin Virginia a quilt. Lest to say Ellen and Olivia are very photogenic!!Who can say no to that sweet smile? Olivia is very good at saying Cheese!! Alothough we miss Stephanie, Ellen, Olivia, and Talmage we are sure glad that they get to be with Eric in Chicago. I am so excited to see them in July when we go to Wisconson to Virginia's baby blessing.
