The Olympic Spirit.

See full size image
The Olympics what a wonderful experience it is. It is a time when a nation comes together to cheer on the athletes that represent their country.

To cheer on a pair of figure skaters who have dreamed for 15 + years for a gold succeed!!

To watch athletes perform to their best and achieve the goals they have set.
Although I love watching the events especially pairs figure skating and speed skating what i love most about the Olympics is the spirit of the Olympics. Maybe it is also remembering when the Olympics were here in Salt Lake City and the excitement in the air and the memories that were created that year!

I Could Have Danced All Night!!!!

This past Wednesday our Stake had an activity which they called it A Night of Finer Things. Everyone was suppose to come in their prom dresses or in their best dress. My roommate Natalie really wanted to go and ware a dress that she got from being a brides made. I decided that I would go with her. So I got on my favorite polka dot dress and my awesome red shoes that I have. I have to admit that I was not very excited to go to this activity because i had the fear that I would be the only one not in a prom dress because i never went to prom. Any ways so i got ready and then we went to the last half hour of the activity. We went so late because my roommate had a commitment that she couldn't get out of until then. Well we got over to the activity and there were actually more people then i thought would be there. They had art work that people in our stake have done or collect and then they were playing music that you could actually dance to like samba's waltz's or just slow songs. There were people there dancing but a good chunk of girls on the wall and a few boys who just were not dancing. For a little bit i felt like i was back in the sixth grade when we would have grade dances like three times that year and they threatened us with homework if we didn't dance. It was awquard. Well they announce the last song and my roommate who really wanted to dance was asked to dance and i said to myself that i was glad that she got asked to dance because i knew that was what she really wanted to do and it really didn't matter to me that i didn't get to dance( although in my mind i really wanted to dance). About half way through the song Ben came over and asked if I would like to dance and I said yes. Well we danced and had a great conversation. All to soon the dance ended and I thanked Ben for asking me to dance. On my way home the lyrics to I Could Have Dance All Night ran through my mind. I rushed home to tell my other roommates and as i walked into their room, with a huge smile on my face i sang....
" I only know when he began to dance with me. I could have danced, danced, danced, all night!!"

Peculiar Holiday

It was Novermber Friday the 13th 2009 when my roommates and I decided to celebrate this blessed day. So at 10:30 at night we climbed into to Tambri's car and headed to Smith's with a mission. We were to buy Items that had to do with day Friday or the number 13. We also aimed for the final price to be within the range of $13.oo.

So at Smith's we got some TGIFridays potato skins and 13 Lindt milk chocolates. and to get the required price we got fixings for root beer floats because the just sounded yummy.

With the total price being $13.21 we crammed back into Tambri's car to head home to have some yummy snacks!!

Natalie had a little hard time getting out but we thought her scissor kicks were great!

So we baked the Potato Skins for 13 minutes to get a great taste.

And had a great celebration of Friday the 13th we have now decided that we will always remeber this day and think often of it when it is the blessed day of
FRIDAY THE 13th!!

Brownie Madness!!

While playing Bang we got a hankering for some of Tambri's to die for brownies so we paused the game and began our quest for the best brownies ever!
We all helped supply the ingredients to make these delicious brownies.
Tambri was the official blend up the everything but the flour while....
Valene and Natalie kept themselves busy posing for the picture while waiting for Tambri to do her part.
Because Natalie was showing off her muscles we decided that she could do the final mixing to complete the brownie batter.
We truly found out her strength when she broke the spatula!
I was the official taste tester of the batter and it definitely met with approval!

Although there are no pictures to show the final project we sure did have alot of fun!

I Spy Dancers!!!

Last Friday we had a roommate date night and we were the Private Eyes. We all had dinner and went to the In statute Women's Association dance which had a spy theme.
I went with Ben and we all had a marvelous time at the dance and then we came back to our apartment and watched Don Knots and Tim Conway in The Private Eyes. It was seriously the greatest night ever!!

A Halloween Story

Once there was a girl who hadn't carved pumkins in like two years because she was off in a far off land being a hermit after 6:00 because Halloween was to dangerous for missionaries to be out. She had a desire to carve pumkins for it had deffinetly been a while so she carved out two!

But her toy soldier of a friend who was keeping all she owned in the world captive until she put more on.
So she scrounged up some overalls to wear over the awesome long johns so she could be seen with the soldier, Belle, and Rosie the Riveter. They had a marvelous time at a spontaneous Halloween party.
